"Experience The Freedom To Live"

Prepared By

WHEN WE HAVE OVERCOME THE FEAR OF DEATH, THEN WE ARE READY TO LIVE LIFE TO ITS FULLEST.

Hebrews 2:14,15 Forasmuch, then, as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also himself likewise took part of the same, that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the Devil, and deliver them who through the fear of death, were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Fear brings us into bondage or slavery, which in turn, dominates us, exploits and humiliates us and ultimately brings us to a point of utter self loathing, worthlessness, and ultimately, self destruction. Now, does any of that description seem very attractive or appealing to any of you? I hope not. No wonder why whenever Jesus came on the scene, the very first words He uttered were "FEAR NOT." Fear is the dis-acknowledging of God's presence, and His power to save, to heal, to deliver, and is the total absence of faith or trust in His ability to see you through any given adverse circumstance. True Christian believers are those who when faced with hardship, trials and difficulties, and even in the face of death, do not cower or retreat in self pity and misfortune, but advance and proceed, with all the strength they can muster, taking hold of the Shield of Faith, and the Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:12-17) to conquer the foe, defeat the enemy whoever or whatever it may be, and emerge as victors through the power of Jesus Christ- Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

For all of humanity of all ages, the ultimate fear is the fear of death. It is that fear of death that spawns the various other strains of fear. For many, death and fear are synonymous. It is because death and its consequent fear are our foe and enemy. 1 Corinthians 15:26 "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death." Jesus said, (John 10:10) I am come that they might hatlle life, and that they might have it more abundantly." The fear of death prevents us from enjoying the joy and the blessings of God. The Lord wants us to live a life free from anxiety, dread, disease, He has put it this way in 2 Timothy 1::7 For God hath not give'll us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of sound mind. I was checking 'Phobias' and found that there are over three hundred plus and the list is expanding daily. People are afraid of death, of dying, of the, dead, of cemeteries, of drowning, of darkness, of loneliness, of gerrns and bacteria, of flying of driving, of ridicule, of strangers, of fire, of heights, of depths, of toads, of men, of the truth, of the future, of old age, of sickness, of failure, of being the victim of crime, of rejection, of not being loved or appreciated, of bees, of witches, of dirt, and of hell. The list is endless, and I don't wish to bore you with the names, or more truthfully, some of the names are too difficult for me to pronounce. This is a real problem for many, and rnust not be treated lightly. Many people have to undergo therapy and specialized treatment regimen, which subjects them to a sub-normal, sub standard life. That is definitely not what the Lord intended for any of us. I remember a" preacher saying that there are over three hundred and sixty-five "Fear Not's" in the Bible, I have not verified this, but if this is so, then we can claim a unique "Fear Not" for your each and every day fear dilemma. Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee, be not dismayed for I am Thy God': I will strengthen thee. Yea I will help thee; I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Paul said “I die daily;" He also said, Galatians 2:20, I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me and the life I now live in the flesh I live by the grace of the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me. PhiIippians.1:21, "For me to Live is Christ, and to die is gain. 2Corinthians 5:8, We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." The Word tells us that flesh and blood shall not inherit the Kingdom of God. We all must shed this veil of flesh. VIe are called to worship God in the Spirit and not in the Flesh, for those that are of the flesh cannot please God. God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

Jesus said, Matthew 10: 28, And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the Soul, but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. We read of the overcoming and victorious saints in Revelation 12: 11, And they overcame him, by the. blood of the Lamb, and by the Word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death. Having come to know Christ who has conquered death, hell and the grave, no longer should we have the fear of death, neither should we be held in its bondage. Mark 8:35, For whosoever shall save his life shall lose it: but whosoever shall lose his life, for my sake and the Gospel's, the same shall save it." We are called upon to live our lives, for Christ, and to expend it to the cause of His Gospel, without even the fear of death. Those who know Their God shall do great exploits. Moses was not afraid of Pharaoh, (LET MY PEOPLE GO). Deborah was not afraid to lead the Children of Israel to a mighty victory, David was not afraid of Goliath, (YOU COME AFTER ME WITH SPEAR AND A SHIELD, I COME TO YOU IN THE NAME OF THE LORD). Queen Esther was not afraid to petition the King, on behalf of her people, (IF I PERISH I PERISH BUT I'M GOING TO SEE THE KING). Daniel was not afraid of King Nebuchadnezzar, (I SHALL NOT BOW TO YOUR IMAGE 0 KING). The Apostles were not afraid of the Council of the Sanhedrin, (WHETHER WE SHOULD OBEY GOD OR MAN , JUDGE YE).. Paul was neither afraid nor ashamed to preach the Gospel of Christ.Romans 1:16. For I am not afraid neither am 1 ashamed of the Gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation to the Jews first and also to the Greek"
